2) Cognitive functioning of human operators : reception and treatment of information; decision making in risk situations.
3) Organizational theories of work : motivation; satisfaction; relationships; communication; authority and hierarchy.
4) Training : training and qualification; determinants in training.
5) Man and technology : psychological aspects of computerized and automated work and development of work content.
6) Security : human reliability and technical reliability; development of conceptions in workplace accident prevention.

Aims |
In general, to introduce students to the world of work and, in particular, to man's abilities which should be taken into account in the organization of work.
To present the basic knowledge, the different issues and the main criteria for success in bringing about an improvement in working conditions.

Content |
To introduce students to the issues encountered by man in the world of work. To define human work and the roles work psychology can play. To chart the development of work psychology. To present the targets of work psychology: these include the load and difficulty of work, stress and well-being, accident prevention in the workplace ; man at work and the development of technology ; time pressures of work ; relationships between working life and life outside work. To highlight the different levels of intervention in work psychology.

This course is based on the close links between psychological theories and the practice of the psychology of organizations.
