Main themes

For the Near East: study of the Anatolian religion, from prehistory to the fifth century B.C. For Egypt: study of the Aton (Atonian?) religion, as contrasted to the Mosaic religion.

Aims

Provide the student with thorough knowledge of the religions attested in the ancient Mediterranean. Scholarly approach to specific questions.
