Main themes Learning processes will be covered through various different aspects: cognitive (cognitivist, socioconstructivist and historico-cultural approaches), social (groups, social interactions etc.) and motivational (perceived value of a task, feeling of personal effectiveness, feeling of self-determination, future temporal perspective and perceived instrumentality, self image and identity, personal goals etc.)
Aims To become familiar with the main trends in current theory and research relating to learning processes in an educational context. To be able to understand their differences and links, from the point of view of their epistemological, theoretical and methodological premises. To be able to analyze empirical situations, rigourously and critically, from the perspective of the theoretical and conceptual tools covered in the course.
