| Main themes |
The theme of the course changes every year. But every year, anthropological questions will be pursued through the works of major authors of contemporary and modern philosophy, and the course will be concerned with examining how they are interpreted today.

| Aims |
Upon successful completion of the course the student should be able to :
- gain comprehensive understanding with regard to a particular problem in philosophical anthropology
- grasp the interdisciplinary aspects of the problem
- relate the data associated with the problem to contemporary scientific developments

| Evaluation methods |
Assessment will be based on active presence during the lessons, the personal reading of Ricoeur's book (Ricoeur, 1965) and on a personal dissertation (+/- 25.000 s.) whose precise topic will constitute a contribution to the philosophical analysis of the main theme.

The topic will be « Phenomenology, hermeneutics and psychoanalysis. P. Ricoeur, S. Freud et H. Kohut". We will read and comment P. Ricoeur's De l'interprétation. Essai sur Freud (Paris, Seuil : 1965; new edition in paperpack collection Point-Seuil).
