Main themes 1. Multivariate analysis of longitudinal data : survival/event history analysis 2. Factor analysis : principal component analysis, factor analyses, correspondences factor analysis and multiple-correspondences factor analysis 3. Cluster analysis and segmentation methods.
Aims This course completes the course of multivariate analysis in the social sciences I. It focuses on cohort analysis and on the analyses of interdependencies and typologies. The aims are : - To master the tools of survey data analysis. - To be able to understand and make use of the scientific literature resorting to these methods - To be autonomous in the use of a data analysis software - To be able to select a data analysis strategy related to a specific research question and to present and inter-pret the results.
