Aims Reading comprehension: - Be able to understand in detail descriptive and analytic texts on general subjects related to the student -s field of studies. Level C1 of the Common European Framework for Languages. Listening comprehension Individual: - Be able to understand in detail lectures or tv or radio programs on topics of general interest or relative to the student -s field of studies, provided the language used is standard and clear. Level B2 of the Common European Framework for Languages. Code: - Master the vocabulary (basic, intermediate, academic and specific); - Master the main points of the grammar (verb forms).
Content - preparation of extensive texts at home, using reading strategies; - analysis and explanation of these texts in class; - detailed and general analysis of video programs at individual speed; - analysis and summary of grammar (verb forms).
Other information Prerequisites: Level A2 of the Common European Framework for Languages (European Council). Assessment Continuous assessment: participation in the course Written exam Course material: 1. Course notes (compulsory, availble from ILV); 2. Course Internet site (with Forums).
