Main themes

The topic approached will be defined by student and his teacher, according to the interests of the student and to of his own experimental work. The topics suggested relate to homeostasis of intracellular calcium, pathways of intracellular signaling, physiology, physiopathology and pharmacology of receptors and ionic channels, cellular metabolism, physiology and physiopathology of vascular smooth muscles, control of exocrine secretion, stress of the endoplasmic reticulum, cell death mechanisms etc …

Aims

The objectives of this tutorship are to allow students to look further into a specific topic in the field of cellular physiology and physiopathology, including the study of specific experimental approaches, and to acquire a critical vision of the conclusions drawn from given results.

Evaluation methods

Evaluation: presentation of a personal work (seminar) and oral exam.

Content

On the basis of choice of the set of themes approached, a competent tutor is chosen to accompany the student. The basic material will be a reference chapter in a textbook and a series of scientific papers covering the subject.
