Main themes The project involves in-depth treatment of a practical issue related to professional practice chosen from a list of suggested subjects. It is done through individual and group work and draws on what students have learnt over the two previous years.
Aims The project provides an opportunity for students to narrow the themes and fields of their interest in psychology, the options they will go on to take (particularly for a Master's degree) and to form first impressions of the relevant professional field. The course is designed to provide specific skills in combining material and expertise they have already acquired, particularly those directly related to university-level studies: statement of a problem, critical search for information, conclusion, selection of approach, etc. both individually and in a group.
Content Students are required to - select their question from a list suggested by the research units - search for clarification and answers from both the scientific literature and professional and social situations (e.g. by observing how this kind of question is asked in practice) - take part in the project support seminar - present interim reports - produce a final report - present their work to the other groups The project begins in BAC2 with an information session and ends in BAC3 before Easter
