Main themes The key moments in the history of music (until 1750) will be deepened, particularly through the sound illustration of the major works of the repertoire and an analysis of partition of the main characteristics of them.
Aims Knowledge of the music history from antiquity until 1750. Recognition of musical forms and styles. Knowledge of major works of music history until 1750.
Content The traditional chronological division of the history is maintained. The course highlights the composers and works considered most important by the professor. The content of this course may vary from year to year.
Other information Prerequisite: It is recommended for students who want to take this course prior to follow the course of "Notions of music history" (MUSI1511), or have a good knowledge of general music history.
