Main themes The theme of the course changes every year. But every year, anthropological questions will be pursued through the works of major authors of contemporary and modern philosophy, and the course will be concerned with examining how they are interpreted today.
Aims Upon successful completion of the course the student should be able to : - gain comprehensive understanding with regard to a particular problem in philosophical anthropology - grasp the interdisciplinary aspects of the problem - relate the data associated with the problem to contemporary scientific developments
Content The lectures, for this year, will be devoted to the study, in Michel Henry's work, of the relationship between life and culture.
Other information Prerequisites : Some instruction in the history of philosophy, especially an acquaintance with phenomenology, and some acquaintance with philosophical anthropology. Evaluation : Support : Course notes/notes on particular works/reference articles
