Content |
Contents: The main topic to be treated during the year 2007-2008 is the use of the country-side in the Mediterranean and the information archaeological surveys yield for territorial, economical, political and religious organisation.
Teaching methods: Following an introductory class on the topic by the teacher or an invited speaker, the students are assigned different regions and periods of Mediterranean lands that have been covered by intensive surveys and for which there is sufficient information on methods of data retrieval and interpretation. Oral and PPT presentations by students followed by critical analysis and discussion, partly on the basis of earlier circulated papers.
