Aims |
Deepened sessions leading to the consideration of a yearly diachronical topic in mediterranean and european archaeology.

Content |
Content: the transversal seminars, following the yearly topics, lead to the study of the human individual and communitary realisations and behaviours in the past societies. Burial customs, religious rituals and sites, architecture of power, domestic architecture, specialised settlements for craft or agriculture, land reclamation, technology... are many topics namely linked with religion, economy and social status. Different cultural spheres will be considered in a comparative process.
Lecturing : the sessions will be organised by several teachers, depending on their speciality and on the topic of the year, including discussions with the students who will show their abilities to discuss several scientific problematics namely with the help of choosen readings.
Readings : depending on the topic.

Scholarship: bachelor in archaeology ; Mineure Archéologie with Arts et Civilisations, and an archaeological methodology course.
Evaluation : evaluation of the discussion sessions, written essay and oral examination.
Support : bibliography and illustration (files on the intranet of the Department).
