Main themes The RS takes part in a research activity in a laboratory of the medical college. This activity includes a phase of formation, specific to the field of research considered, the regular presence at the meetings where the protocols and the results of research in progress are discussed, as well as a direct participation in research itself. For these activities, the RS will be supervised directly by a member of the academic or scientific community. The promoter will have regular personal contacts with the RS and will be thus responsible for his formation.
Aims The activity of researcher student (RS) is an introduction to the steps of the scientific method.

The contribution of this Teaching Unit to the development and command of the skills and learning outcomes of the programme(s) can be accessed at the end of this sheet, in the section entitled “Programmes/courses offering this Teaching Unit”.

Content Only the students having carried out the activity of RS in MED 21 are authorized to continue this activity in MED 22 The awaited temporal investment of RS is about 6 to 8 weeks (full-time equivalent) per year (distributed on the academic year and the holidays according to the availabilities and desiderata of the reception facilities, of the requirements of the subject and the possibilities of the RS).
Other information Report: The RS will provide to the President of the Commission a report written jointly with its promoter and signed by him (deadline: 1st of June). This report (maximum one page) will briefly describe the subject of research, the implemented methods and the results obtained during the academic year. It will also specify the direct involvement of the student. Evaluation: note given by the promoter.
