Main themes The course is focused on the philological study of Old Church Slavonic : writing, morphology text history ; points of syntax will be touched upon during the reading of texts (essentially from the gospels).
Aims At the end of the course, the student will know the fundamentals of Old Church Slavonic Grammar (Cyrillic writing, phonological alternations, morphology, syntax, vocabulary) and will be able to read and interprete autonomously texts of intermediate difficulty.
Content 1) Exposition of following chapters : philological introduction to the Old Church Slavonic language ; study of the alphabet ; morphology and syntax ; 2) reading and grammatical analysis of Old Slavonic texts, which are prepared by the student.
