This course is an analysis of the political and socio-economic context in which training in the fields of qualifications, jobs and literacy is undertaken. Within the scope of models such as the theory of fields and conventions, it examines the relationships which are established between the economic players (public, voluntary or private companies providing goods and services), social players (employers and trades unions), political players (institutional and budgetary) and professional players (professional associations and places where trainers are trained). The emphasis is therefore on the socio-economic dimensions (effects of training, issue of the relevance of training for work) and sociological dimensions (conceptions of training, progression of those who have received training and of trainers etc.) which form the relationships between these different players.
This course is an extension of FOPA 1304 Economics of education and FOPA 1302 Sociology of education and training.

Aims |
- To be able to analyse, from the perspective of theoretical frameworks and empirical data covered in the course, the relationships between public authorities, organizations from the voluntary or private sectors, the employment market and the training methods in training for qualifications, for jobs and literacy.
- To be able to exploit these theoretical frameworks from the perspective of real training situations according to the political and socio-economic context.
