Main themes

The dissertation (maximum of 150,000 characters, including spaces) should develop a hypothesis in a precise, clear and well-documented way, with the agreement of a supervisor.

Aims

By completing a individual final project, students will demonstrate their ability to develop a philosophical hypothesis which is well documented and argued.

In particular, they will demonstrate their ability to:
1) develop a philosophical topic and deal with it in an informed and coherent way.
2) make appropriate use of research tools by meeting prevailing academic criteria.
3) formulate a hypothesis and set out the underlying argument coherently, clearly and in a well-structured way.

Evaluation methods

Written work is assessed by the supervisor and two readers.
