Teaching approaches characterization and dating methods of sample from archaeological sites according to artefact categories and research objectives.

| Aims |
General training for students in Archaeology. It approaches sciences, techniques and methods of Laboratory used for the characterization and dating of archaeological artefacts.

| Content |
Theoretical part concerns methods developed by Natural Sciences (Dendrochronology, Palynology, Plant Macrorest research, Archaeozoology), by Earth Sciences (Pedology, Petrography) and Physico-chimics methods (X-Ray Fluorescence, Thermoluminescence, Carbon-14)
Practical part will carry out talk, report and experiment into laboratories.
Compulsory readings: Five main titles must be read and will be presented and commented during sessions.
