Main themes |
The students will learn to read and understand long and complex texts about familiar subjects or subjects that are related to their studies; follow a conference or a complex presentation about a familiar subject; understand the newspaper articles and TV news about a familiar subject; understand a conversation; prepare and make a presentation related to the studies; Talk clearly and without errors about a familiar subject; argue in a debate; search for information about a particular subject and summarise it; write a business letter; use specific business vocabulary.
The students will also learn to be more familiar with the cultural, political and economic background of German-speaking countries.

Aims |
This course is for economic science, management, management engineering and political science students. The main objective is that students learn a vocabulary linked with economics but also with politics and improve their comprehension and speaking skills. The aim is to teach students language skills that will help them to be more operational in their future career.

Content |
Exercises will include reading articles and specific texts but also vocabulary exercises. Each chapter will include role-plays and discussions. Students will make presentations about a subject related to politics or economics. There will also be listening comprehension and reading comprehension exercises. There will also be a short presentation of a television program. The students will write short summaries and professional letters.

Prerequisites:
To have passed the ALLE 1331 course (intermediate level) in BAC2.
Assessment
Different points enter into the final evaluation: continuous assessment, written and oral examination.
