Aims
The content varies from one year to another, and uses theatre texts and theoretical writings. The dramaturgical approach involves analysing the structure of plays according to the main categories of theatrical poetics (action, space, time, character, language, etc.), and by relating this dramatical structure to the historical period in which the play was written and contemporary issues of dramatic creativity.

Work focuses on four to six texts of modern and contemporary theatre, from the Lumière brothers to the present day. The texts are chosen and studied each year with reference to a specific theme. Examples in recent years have included the idea of the 'intimate theatre', comic writing, the dramaturgy of Huis Clos, nomadism, the parable, etc.
Method :
Teacher-led course and 20-minute presentations by groups of students.
Evaluation :
Two personal works, one of them presented orally.
