The course enables students to :
- identify more accurately the organizational principles which run through socio-educational institutions and give them their structure, especially in terms of power, coordination, standardization, spatio-temporal organization, cognitive schemes and relationship to their environment;
- identify more accurately the organizational and institutional issues which run through education and training and resonance in everyday situations : definition of objectives and programmes, methods of evaluating learning, appraisal of staff, relationships with users and public authorities etc.

- coordinated action and forms of coordination ;
- conventional beliefs and organizational mimetism;
- governance of education systems.
2. Resources for the analysis of education and training organizations:
Analysis of organizational components and dynamics : structures, contingencies, systems for setting goals, systems for players, power relationships, norms, cognitive matrices, organizational forms and forces etc.
3. Special characteristics of voluntary organizations.
Content and teaching methods
The course contains a variety of presentations, reading and discussion sessions for exchanging views and opinions. Developing a teaching strategy adapted to adults includes the link between theory and practice, work in sub-groups, training assessment and group and individual work on using material in practice.
