This course completes the course of multivariate analysis in the social sciences I. It focuses on cohort analysis and on the analyses of interdependencies and typologies. The aims are :
- To master the tools of survey data analysis.
- To be able to understand and make use of the scientific literature resorting to these methods
- To be autonomous in the use of a data analysis software
- To be able to select a data analysis strategy related to a specific research question and to present and inter-pret the results.
Main themes
1. Multivariate analysis of longitudinal data : survival/event history analysis
2. Factor analysis : principal component analysis, factor analyses, correspondences factor analysis and multiple-correspondences factor analysis
3. Cluster analysis and segmentation methods.
