The student must be able to peel any type of journalistic production formally, to analyze of them the components, the writing, the style, the structure, the processes formal, paradigmatic specificities, the particular generic characteristics and the intrinsic characteristics. This seminar must also make it possible the student to confront his own journalistic production with those of professionals.
Main themes
This seminar aims to introduce students to the formal mechanisms for constructing writing for the media through an analysis of press articles, sequences, and radio and television programmes.

- An examination of all the major journalistic genres used in the press, radio and television, through reading and analysing published and broadcast examples.
- A focus on formal mechanisms and the structuring of writing for the press.

Assessment will be based on work carried out during the year, and a final check on knowledge acquired.
Other issues: This Seminar will run in close collaboration with the workshops on writing for the press, and radio and television news: it will enhance these with its analyses, and will provide them with case studies needed for the students training.
