Main themes
- construction materials of monuments, objects and works of art in museums;
- concepts of restoration;
- guidelines for restoration;
- preventative conservation.
Content and teaching methods
Conservation/restoration: two missions
- preventive conservation
- history of restoration (mainly in Belgium)
- development of restoration rules (charters, theories,....)
- principles of restoration (deontology,...)
Conservation:
- environment
- recommendation for the conservation of objects occording to their materials
- moving of works of art
- protection of works during unusual circumstances

Evaluation : oral examination (20 points)
