Main themes
Take part in an international scientific meeting (congress, conference, study days) lasting two to three days or spend two or three weeks in a research laboratory at another Belgian university or at a foreign university; write a critical account of this activity of 15 pages (or 30,000 characters).
Content and teaching methods
At the beginning of the academic year, students with a research focus and enrolled for this activity will be asked by the teaching staff in their research unit to register for one or more scientific meetings programmed to take place during the year or to solicit a placement in a research laboratory suggested by their teachers.
Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)
Evaluation: the report produced at the end of this activity will be assessed by two teachers from the relevant research unit in line with pre-established required standards
Support: model reports will be available to students, as will a methodological reference guide regarding the planning and writing of a scientific study
Supervision: each study will be supervised by full-time members of the student's chosen research unit.
