The aim of the seminar is to:
provide research supervision and preparation in key academic subjects and advanced study and research in areas relevant to curriculum, instruction, and instructional technology, language and literacies.
enhance understanding and expertise within each field in light of current theory and practice.
emphasize cutting-edge theory and rigorous standards of research in the construction of new knowledge about education.
foster strong conceptual understanding of contemporary issues in education and production of a flexible array of responses.
At the end of the seminar, students should be able to adopt and demonstrate an in-depth and critical approach to the themes addressed.

Content and teaching methods
The seminar deals with a reflexive approach to cutting edge issues in foreign language learning and teaching via lectures, reading of scientific articles, group presentations and discussions.

The evaluation will be partly based on students' active involvement in the seminar. It will also involve an oral presentation on a topic of their choice in relation to the themes of the seminar.
