At the end of the course, students must be able to:
- understand the main paradigms that are relevant to analyse the human side of organisations and human resource management; use these paradigms to apply them and interpret a concrete situation, in order to identify, finally, its strengths and weaknesses and propose improvements as a (future) manager;
- identify and understand the institutions of industrial relations and understand the role that they play in management in companies.
Main themes
The course must cover three themes :
- the human side of organisations (main paradigms);
- roles and missions of human resource management;
- industrial relations in Belgium and in the European context.
