Aims

For this reason, the seminar brings together elements from training, research needs and issues arising from practice.

Main themes

The integration seminar does not impart new knowledge but draws on existing knowledge to concentrate on the process of integration.

Content and teaching methods

The seminar is designed to identify an issue (field of study) which could be appropriate for research. There are close links with other material taught in the course and theoretical tools for analysis.

The final examination involves a written report on an issue identified by the student. This report, started during the first 'licence' degree, forms the subject of a formal assessment at the end of the second 'licence' degree.
Developing a teaching strategy adapted to adults includes the link between theory and practice, work in sub-groups, training assessment and group and individual work on the appropriateness of material.
Illustrations from different fields of adult education and training: continuing education, special education, schools, lifelong learning etc.
