- reading elementary texts and dialogues; listening to elementary texts and dialogues; writing-short texts and dialogues; speaking-mastery of a few basic communication situations.
b) Acquiring knowledge :
- learning the first part of basic grammar (all the determiners-possessive, demonstrative, and indefinite; pronouns-personal, possessive, demonstrative, indefinite; present tense conjugation-indicative, imperative, subjunctive, gerund; learning the basic vocabulary-around 1000 words);
- introduction to the culture.
This is a beginners course and there are no prerequisites.
Main themes
This course offers an introduction to standard modern Spanish. The course provides the components of the normative grammar, as well as of the basic lexicon.
Morphosintactic, communicative and lexical contents corresponding to B2 level.
Content and teaching methods
The course is divided into two parts: 22,5 hours in a large group, with the emphasis placed on learning the linguistic skills (vocabulary, grammar) in an inductive manner through short texts and/or recordings; 22,5 hours of tutorials in small groups, emphasizing the progress in the linguistic skills of the students (speaking and writing, etc.).

-Two written partial exams during the semester.
- Written exam at the end of the semester
