This course is intended to students BAC 3 of the faculty Philosophie et Lettres who have acquired the intermediate level Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
ROM and ROGE students will have to attend this course simultaneously with the Spanish courses offered by the Faculté de Philosophie et Lettres.
Main themes
Created as a part of the Plan Langues, this course is essentially practical. Its aim is to develop systematically the linguistic competences of students, giving more importance to the communicative competence, and to give a close cultural vision of the Spanish-speaking countries having into account the possibility of a linguistic stage (Erasmus or other) in a Spanish- speaking country or a future job there.
Content and teaching methods
This cours aims at developping the students proficiency at oral and written production. Students will have to take part in various activities designed to stimulate their communicative competences in everyday life, emphasis being put on acquiring morpho-syntactical bases and extending the vocabulary.
Functional contents are with whatever pertains to the job market : on the one hand, to write a letter of application, to provide a good CV in Spanish, to write emails and printed letters ; on the other hand, everyday life situation which a foreigner may be faced with : to look for a flat, to fix an appointment, to apply for a grant, official presentation, and so on. Exercises are essentially communicative, on various pedagogical supports (music, video, situations, role plays, grammar exercices, internet forums, and so on).

Prerequisites:
To have acquired the objectives defined by the courses suggested in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters in the Bac 2 (ESPA 18001 for ARKE, CLAS, HORI, LAFR ; ESPA 1802 for ROM and ESPA 1803 for ROGE).
To have registered the course in his/her program of Bac 3.
To follow in parallel the Spanish courses suggested to the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters in Bac2 for students ROM and ROGE.
Assessment:
Continuous Assessment with different tests during the semester.

The course gives the student a guide of electronic addresses and materials to support the autonomous training and other didactic materials for the controlled autonomous practice.
