The student can recognize significant points in straightforward newspaper articles on familiar subjects ; can read straightforward factual texts relating to his/her field of interest with a satisfactory level of comprehension. Level B1 of the " Common European Framework of Reference of Languages ".
Listening:
Can catch the main points in broadcasts about familiar subjects spoken relatively slowly and clearly; can follow the main points of a lecture or a talk about a familiar subject spoken relatively slowly and clearly; can follow clear speech in everyday conversation, though in a real life situation sometimes has to ask for repetition of particular words or phrases

Speaking:
Can present a short talk about everyday life subjects, can briefly give reasons and explanations for his/her own
opinions and plans; can present straightforward and non-complicated descriptions on subjects related to his/her field of interest or everyday life; can deal with a limited number of easy and straightforward questions ; can deal with a conversation on topics that are familiar, can express a personal opinion and exchange information on that topic (family, hobbies, travel, etc). Level B1 of the "Common European Framework of Reference of Languages ".
Writing :
Can write short and simple notes relating to matters in areas of immediate need. Level A2 of the "Common European Framework of Reference of Languages".
Main themes
Development of comprehension (reading and listening) on the basis of authentic documents (written and oral) bearing on subjects of general interest or specific to the field of studies. Enrichment of the vocabulary (as well general as relating to the field studies) in context and consolidation of the control of this vocabulary by written and oral exercises (role plaies, small debates, small talks....)

Consolidation and widening of the basic vocabulary (words of 2000 to 4000)
Consolidation and control of the structures (in particular those which pose problems with the French-speaking people).
Culture:
On the level of all the above mentioned aptitudes: sensitizing with the culture of the countries of Spanish language

Prerequisites:
To have access to this course students should have been followed Spanish during at least two years in the secondary education and to make a test of level during Q1. The starting level is A2 and the goal is to reach the B1 level for the receptive and productive aptitudes.
