From an analytical perspective, the seminar will provide a better understanding of the interactions between de-velopment, environment and societies issues by emphasizing historical and spatial context through comparative analyses and different geographical areas studies.

Comparative analysis of development processes emphasizing the importance of the time dimension in the ar-ticulation of the political, social, economic structures of development with its environment, and the specificity of the different processes according the type of articulation.
Comparative analysis of the problems and policies related to the integration of development-environment-societies issues in the context of each geographical area.
