The goal is to explore specific aspects of Biostatistics that are not tackled or studied in details in another course of the Master in Statistics. Topics addressed in this course might evolve with time. This year, the course will deal with the various possible application of frailty models (survival models including random effects) in biostatistics. The main reference for this course will be the book "The Frailty Models" by Luc Duchateau and Paul Janssen (to appear end of 2007, Springer).
