This course is intended to the ROGE facuty students who have acquired the elementary level (A1) and which, at the end of the course, must reach the B1 level of the Common European Framework of reference of the Council of Europe.
This course will have to be followed in parallel with Spanish courses suggested by the Faculty of Philosophy and Lettres, without which the student will not be able to reach the level in the target language.
Main themes
In this course, the main aim is to develop systematically receptive and oral students' competences.
At the end of the course, the student are expected to be able to follow without difficulty the ESPA1800C course in BAC2, i.e. it must have acquired the following linguistic abilities:
Reading (B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
- Can understand texts in a current language.
- Can understand the description of events and the expression of feelings and the wishes.
Listening
- Can understand essential points when an open and standard language is used.
- Can understand rather long conferences and speeches as well as radio and television broadcastsf if the subject
is contemporary or familiar.
Speaking
- Can face most of the situations in which one can be involved during a stay in a Spanish-speaking country and take
part, without preparation, in a conversation on everyday life or familiar subjects.
Writing
- Can express a simple and coherent text on familiar subjects.
- Can write personal letters.
Code:
- Correct pronounciation of different standard Spanish sounds.
- Consolidation of a basic vocabulary.
- Systematization of the oral interaction, with other native interlocutors or not, to arrive at a mutual comprehension.
Culture:
- Sensitizing with the Spanish-speaking cultures by means of various exercises suggested throughout the course.
The audio-visual material will be used like preparatory activity to the sociocultural explanations concerning the
Spanish-speaking countries.
Content and teaching methods
- Course of 45h (3h per week) during the 2nd semester.
- Course of 1st cycle BAC1 ROGE/FLTR.
Prerequisites :
- To have met the objectives defined by the courses suggested in the Faculty of Arts in the first semester (ROGE).
- To have registered the course in his/her program of studies.
- To follow in parallel the Spanish courses suggested to the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters in Bac1, without
which the student will not be able to reach the level in the target language.
Objectives (in terms of competences) :
- At the end of the course, must reach the B1 level of the Common European Framework of reference of the Council
of Eu7rope and the students are expected to be able to follow without difficulty the ESPA1800C course in BAC2.
Course materials :
- To achieve the goals of the course, the students have at their disposal at the ILV: a syllabus has been prepared by
the professor for this purpose. This syllabus puts into practice the linguistic abilities of the student, in particular the
oral expression, with an important communicative dimension. The typology of exercises is much diversified:
grammar exercises, videos, songs, role plays in groups...
- In addition, the students will have to follow in parallel the exercises suggested in the data-processing platform of
the University "Icampus".
- The course gives the student a guide of electronic addresses and materials to support the autonomous training
and other didactic materials for the controlled autonomous practice.
Assessment :
- Continuous Assessment with different tests during the semester.
