Aims

The thesis tutorial aims at training students in scientific communication skills, particularly in giving an oral presentation in English.

Main themes

In collaboration with the "Institut des Langues Vivantes", the first part of the tutorial will consist in coaching and training the student in oral communication in English and in presenting scientific data. The data to present will correspond to the subject and research data obtained by the student in the framework of his ongoing Master thesis.The second part of the activity will consist in a presentation as such followed by a short discussion in English.

Precursorycourses ANGL 1863 or equivalent courses
Evaluation Continuous assessment ( short individual presentations) + final exam
Support Work notes / ILV web site ( basic pronunciation ex.)
Teaching team 20 contact hours + 10hrs for extra individual coaching upon request, by ILV Language lecturer.
