Aims
They will acquire knowledge allowing them to intervene as consultants in the field of restoration and conservation
Main themes
Representative case studies: buildings, groups/blocks/assemblies, public places, specials buildings (walls, barracks, etc.).
Definition of key words: conservation, monument, restoration, heritage.
Roles of the art historian and architect.
Content and teaching methods :
Demonstration with chosen examples of the typical intervention problems. Illustrated lectures.
Case studies: Carcassonne, the Louvre, etc.
