(The) course views detailed questions, which change every year.
The emphasis is often put on : a) the study of human figure (representation ?), one of the objectives of art history - as in literature - is to enable humans to find their fellow creatures, b) the improvement of chronology, as indispensable basis for every investigation.
Problems of architecture may also be taken into account.
Content and teaching methods
Contents : in 2007-2008, the course concerns : "The art in Ramesside times".
First Part : historical context and civilization context, the "castles of millions of years", ramesside sculpture, Ramses the second and Nubia.
Kind of teaching : lectures during which the students are invited to ask and to answer some questions.

Evaluation : Oral examination in front of pictures, at the end of the session (20 points)
Course material : In order to form to scientific practice, students are invited to work in library and to find in mentioned bibliography pictures seen at lessons, as eventually other comments
