Esiste una particolare forma di intertestualità, consistente nel riferire ad un autore i suoi stessi versi, adattati ad una circostanza della sua vita. Il frequente ricorso ad essa da parte dei poeti augustei, spesso in connessione con l’elegia o con la figura e la produzione di Cornelio Gallo, rende particolarmente interessante l’indagine sul tema.

Abstract:
There is a particular form of intertextuality consisting in referring an author’s own lines to himself, and adapting them to a circumstance of the author’s life or poetry. The frequent use of this form by the Augustan poets, often in connection with the elegy or with the figure and production of Cornelius Gallus, makes the investigation of this subject particularly interesting.
