Abstract :
In O.T. Sophocles illustrates
that if the unwritten laws are transgressed, repercussions are inescapable.
The magnitude of the νόσος (disease) indicates the severity of the infringement
of unwritten laws. Sophocles dramatizes the connection between human nature
and the nature of the universe. This article also explores the question of Oedipus’birth
and the paradoxical aspects of his nature..
