XXX syndrome

Estimated prevalence: 1.5/10.000. Presence of an extra X chromosome, in general asymptomatic or poorly symptomatic.

However, some clinical elements can often be observed:

-         a tall stature

-        an epicanthus

-        a clinodactyly

-        sometimes: epilepsy, renal and genitourinary anomaly, primary ovarian failure

-        motor or speech delay is more common than in the general population


Anesthetic implications:

none except in case of epilepsy or renal anomaly
