(Cafe au lait spots disease)

Prevalence: unknown. Skin condition that is characterized by the presence of several (6 or more) cafe au lait spots without any other manifestations of neurofibromatosis or a systemic disease. Some forms are due to a mutation of the NF1 gene on 17q11.2.
