Laubry-Pezzi syndrome

Rare. Non-syndromic congenital malformation, consisting in aortic regurgitation caused by the prolapse of an aortic sigmoid valve in an underlying VSD (infundibular type) with Venturi effect in the direction of the mitral valve. In addition to the signs associated with moderate VSD, the patients usually present with signs of progressive aortic valve insufficiency: dyspnea, palpitations, exercice intolerance.
