Kimura, disease

Rare. Inflammatory disease of unknown origin that is characterized by the onset of painless skin nodules (usually in the head and neck region), eosinophilia and IgE high levels. Lymph node biopsy: hyperplasia of the lymphoid tissue. The clinical presentation may be similar to Hogdkin lymphoma or histiocytosis.
Treatment: steroids or immunoglobulins.
Anesthetic implications:
No special features. Sometimes anesthesia in the context of the diagnosis of lymphoma or of histiocytosis.
