Holzgreve, syndrome

(Holzgreve-Wagner-Rehder syndrome)
Prevalence: < 1/200,000. Malformative syndrome of genetic origin, probably with autosomal recessive transmission. It associates polydactyly, palatine division with persistence of bucco-pharyngeal membrane, birth defects and growth retardation. There is sometimes an associated renal agenesis (Potter syndrome).
Anesthetic implications:
difficult intubation, risk of aspiration; renal failure in some forms.
