Goodman, syndrome

(Acrocephalosyndactyly type IV, Summitt and Goodman syndrome )

Recessive autosomal transmission. Malformative syndrome with craniofacial  (acrocephaly) and extremities (polydactyly, syndactyly, clinodactyly, ulnar deviation) abnormalities. Occasional heart defects. For some authors, it is a variant of Carpenter syndrome (Acrocephalosyndactyly type II).


Anesthetic implications: 

craniosynostosis with risk of intracranial hypertension. Exclude cardiac malformation.
