Fibromatoses (infant)

Group of diseases characterized by a benign proliferation of poorly differentiated mesenchymal cells and mature Collagen fibers.
One distinguishes:
- gingival fibromatosis: fibrous and non-inflammatory proliferation of the gum; it is often part of syndromes and is then associated with hypertrichosis, mental retardation, epilepsy. To be distinguished from the gingival hyperplasia induced by some antiepileptic drugs
