(SSS, syndrome de Richardson-Kirk, HRD syndrome acronyme de Hypoparathyroïdie Retard Dysmorphie, Middle-East syndrome)
Très rare. Transmission autosomique récessive (consanguinité). Surtout décrit au Moyen Orient et dans les zones du Golfe arabique (incidence de 7 à 8/100.000 naissances au Koweit). Mutation du gène TBCE en 1q42-q43. Pathologie proche du syndrome de Kenny-Caffey.

Implications anesthésiques:
petite taille, sonde endotrachéale de taille plus petite que par rapport à un enfant du même âge, risque d’intubation difficile, épilepsie, éviter hyperventilation (tétanie). Deux cas publiés d’apnées centrales et obstructives nécessitaient une ventilation non-invasive nocturne : oxymétrie nocturne préopératoire ?
