KOF-ETHZ Swiss Economic Institute

The Center for Research of Economic Activities (about 20 researchers), supported by public and private funds, aims at the empirical analysis of the Swiss Economy. Its main research areas are:
- the business cycle (regular analyses and forecasts)
- problems of economic growth and structural change (e.g. analysis of the competitiveness and innovativeness of Swiss firms)
- policy evaluation at the macro and micro level
- empirical studies based on qualitative micro-data of firms.
