The general forecasting and conjuncture head office is in charge of the daily evolution of the Spanish economy's developments in its international environment. It is also responsible for short-term forecasting. This is done by establishing the macroeconomic board attached to the Law of Public Finance every budgetary year. As well, the office is a correspondent between the Spanish administration, the EC, and the OECD; it takes part in committees and work groups. Moreover, the DGPC has in hand a large data bank on economic developments with 6 500 series that can be accessed online. There is also an electronic publication that contains 900 series which figure in a monthly publication.
