Institute for Market, Consumption and Business Cycles Research (IBRKK)


The Institute for Market, Consumption and Business Cycles Research was established in 1969.

The research areas of the Institute concentrate on the analyses and forecast of Polish foreign trade and on world trade developments and their implications for the Polish economy. IBRKK provides consultations and expertise for the central governmental agencies, international and domestic organizations, private firms, banks, etc. The Institute regularly organizes national and international seminars and conferences.

The second major task of IBRKK is to supply information that promotes Poland's economy to the international community.

The Institute supplies analyses of commodity and country markets and monitors performance of economic agents participating in Polish foreign trade.

The EC Reference Centre and the Centre for Market Information are integral parts of the Institute.
