P2C, the Polymer Processing & Characterization platform of the Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanosciences IMCN, provides multidisciplinary tools in the field of processing, rheological and thermo-mechanical characterization of macromolecular materials. The available resources at P2C facility, cover a very wide range of techniques used in this field including extrusion, RTM/SQRTM, additive polymer manufacturing, strain/stress controlled rheometers, extensional rheometer, equipement for thermal analysis (DSC, HPDSC, FDSC, TGA) and equipement for mechanical testing (DMA and tensile machine).
The missions of the platform are three pilar based:
- support to educational and research activities of UCLouvain community ,
- support to research activities of scientific UCLouvain community ,
- offer support to the industry.
